The ignorance of the 90s (Part 28). [repost]

Hi folks!

The today's song is performed by the second band of the now ex-bass player of NEW ORDER, PETER HOOK. I only took the vocal version and the instumental version and made my own 12" version of this wonderful tune, an oldfashioned chronovisor mix.

Shalalaaalalalalaaa... Shalalaaalalalalaaa...

ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

The relevance of the 00s (Part 22).

Hello folks!

UNDERWORLD

Bird 1

Bat bit and ten
White stick with a red light
Floats past her on the right
White stick on the rock
Roping in the wind
Are you hungry?

Do you know what to eat?
Floating in the blue
I hear you, your voice
It comes out above my head
Close to you, close to you

There is one bird in my house
She said you woke up from a dream
He heard Mama Cass
He felt better if I would
Have known those things

It damped his mood for a second
Then he remembered where he was
He regained his perspective
That felt a lot better

It gets much better
He laid down on his bed
With the front door open
And the sunlight
Flooding into the room, he smelt tire
He laid back listening to a fly

He saw washing hanging in the sun
He caught a fleeting glimpse of a man
Moving uphill, pursued by a bus
He saw a white church with a
Three blue domed roof

A crucifix on the top
And an ant walked
Along the edge of his book
He heard another bell
And a braying mustache
And a moped started up

Sounding like a chainsaw
Of tiny firecrackers
And he smelled tire again
A fly came dim
Along the shaft of sunlight
Coming through the open door

He watched it cross the room
And get halfway and then it
Turned around and left, he laughed

There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house

He saw washing hanging in the sun
He caught a fleeting glimpse of a man
Moving uphill, pursued by a bus
He saw a white church with a
Three blue domed roof

A crucifix on the top
And an ant walked
Along the edge of his book
He heard another bell
And a braying mustache
And a moped started up

Sounding like a chainsaw
Of tiny firecrackers
And he smelled tire again
A fly came dim
Along the shaft of sunlight
Coming through the open door

He watched it cross the room
And get halfway and then it
Turned around and left, he laughed

There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house

There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house
There is one bird in my house

ENJOY!

A collaboration experiment (Part 6). [repost]

Hi folks!

You may have noticed meanwhile that I mix very conservative, and so do I with my collaborations. There are so many of them in the world wide web (some are innovative and good, some are technically great, but the most ones are not really worth it to listen to), and so, from time to time, when I hear two songs in the same time, which are compatible IMHO, then I sit down and make something... I do something... like this one... another collaboration. The today's one is from an Australian band, which sadly splitted up some time in the 90s I think, and an Austrian musician, who very sadly "splitted up" himself by a car accident today 10 years ago. At the end, there is a piece of music, easy to listen to and getting relaxed with, hopefully.

ENJOY!

Floyd Anderson.

The decadence of the 80s (Part 80).

Hi folks!

Today I want to present you a very well known singer and a probably not so very well known song, which has its origin in France.

In his third and last album from the 80s ROGER DALTREY made a very interesting English cover version of the song 'Cargo' which came out already in 1983 and was written and performed by Frenchman AXEL BAUER.

A 12'' single was produced as well, which is the base of the today's 'chronovisor edit'. My intention was to integrate the nice guitar parts of the B-side into the vocal version which makes the tune perfect to listen to.

EJNOY!

Floyd Anderson.

The ignorance of the 90s (Part 32).

Hi folks!

Today I continue with what I started late last year by introducing you to the magnificent work of MARK GRIFFIN.

From the late 80s until the mid 90s he did release some remarkable records, which also got good remixing hands on. Like this one today.

MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO gave the tune the driving thrill whilst I gave it a few cuts and edits. So, that's why it ended here as a very listenable 'chronovisor edit'.

ENJOY!

Floyd Anderson.
