The decadence of the 80s (Part 62).

Hey folks, it's disco time!

Well, the fact is that I realised, after bringing out the heavy stuff from the 'Neue Slowenische Kunst' yesterday, some people may get upset with their lives, or get maybe in a deeply depression - and after my 'Soulbrother in mixing' DreamTime did such a fantastic mix of a disco tune I wanted to do since ever, but he was faster, I thought to post some light and dancy music today.

You may have noticed that the thing above is just one sentence, so I shouldn't talk such a lot of crap ;-) . It's typical for the German language, I think. The problem is: I try to write and talk in English, but I still do think in German.

Back to the topic: In short, the today's tune is from a Dutch music project, and it was quite a hit back in those days of the later disco music. It's a pity that they've done just a few more singles before they left the music scene.

A collaboration experiment (Part 8).

Nach einer kleinen schoepferischen Pause, und bevor es wieder so richig los geht mit neuem Material aus allen Musikstilen, stelle ich hier eine Ergaenzung zu einem posting von vor ueber drei Jahren ein, welche mir sehr wichtig ist. Diese epische "Ergaenzung", die ich in dieser Form noch nicht veroeffentlicht habe, ist ein weiteres collaboration experiment und behandelt 4 Songs aus einer LP, die perfekt zueinander passen. Es sind noch immer dieselben Aspekte von damals gueltig, was das Hoeren dieser Stuecke betrifft.

The relevance of the 00s (Part 17).

Hallo Erde!

Heute poste ich mal was fuer dich. Man springt ja um mit dir in letzter Zeit, man glaubt es nicht. Ich bin wirklich gespannt, wie lange du dir das, als eine eigene Lebensform (wie ich dich sehe), noch von uns Menschen gefallen laesst.

Dabei gibts ja auch positive Aussichten, wie z. B. "earth TV", wo wir, die Menschen, Einblicke von dir, liebe Erde, live und direkt erhaschen koennen. Und da sind eben so schoene Eindruecke dabei, sodass ich hoffe, dass uns diese noch sehr lange erhalten bleiben. Wir muessen nur selber was dafuer tun, und zwar SOFORT!

Achja, die Musik, die bei diesen Liveeindruecken begleitend dazulaeuft, hat mir auch gefallen, und zwar sosehr, dass ich mich dieser ein wenig angenommen habe. In meiner konservativen Art und Weise sind so zwei hoerenswerte "chronovisor mixes" entstanden.

The ignorance of the 90s (Part 26).

These days is something happening in the world and by me. With in the world I mean the beginning of the soccer world championship in South Africa, and by me I mean the approval of my 5-year visa for Australia, which I applied for in late April this year. So all in all - I'm happy, as you can imagine. ;-)

Today I want to take accout to the fact that the African continent is in the focus of the world for the next few weeks. The todays song I introduce you today is taken from the latest release, unbelievably back in 1997, of a band, which was very successful during the 70s and 80s.

On this release this band was without their two big names, and everybody was now interested, if this project would also work. In my opinion, it did. I used the album version of this tune to build up my own 12" version, because unfortunatly it never was released. But what has all this to do with Africa? Just a little bit, you'll see.

The relevance of the 00s (Part 16).

Hi there!

Unexpectedly for me I already am able to let you know some news. It's not about my visa, that still is in the process, no, it's about the internet connection I currently use. Actually it's my mother's one, and it has now an unlimited bandwidth! What a relief! This means to me that I can be more active here in Austria, and I'm able to post a bit more here than in the months before.

The today's posting is the second one outside of Australia, and it's about a german music project which was so much successful in the 80s. Earlier in my blog you can find a bit more of the story. 15(!) years after their last release the main members came together again planning to release a new album and a series of four 12"es. It's a real pity that the band couldn't achieve to release more than one 12", limited to 500 pieces.

At the end I was glad to find this little treasure some time ago having now the opportunity to introduce one of the four versions of this song in my blog. On this version remixer ADAM KROLL officially laid his hands on it nicely, and I just had to do a few more secret things for having now a brand new 'chronovisor mix'. ;-)
