The relevance of the 00s (Part 8).

Today's the day, when I started this music.blog with my first posting and with the first mixed tune on it. I didn't want to start it with a mix of myself, but with a mix from a male mixer, whose style I still appreciate so much. If you want to have more info, go back and have a look! Exactly one year later I do the same thing with another mixer, a female one, whose works on tracks I also appreciate very much. So it seems that this could be become a kinda tradition, well, we'll see. She brought this one (the first ever released own mix!) on her website exactly two days after my first posting. Below her original liner notes:

"Theres only so much you can learn in one place...The more that I wait...the more time that I waste." OK! This is my own extended mix of Madonna's Jump. Lately I've been amazed at what some folks like Dreamtime and Dodi have created with wave editors. So, I thought I'd have a go myself. This is by no means perfect and is my second song attempted. This was loads of fun and I guess it helped that I love this song quite alot too. One of Madonna's best from the Confessions on a Dance Floor album. I used the original album version, the extended album version as well as a teensy little bit from Forbidden Love, another song from the same album. This mix is 06:03 minutes long...and by all means, enjoy! Cygnet.

The decadence of the 80s (Part 27).

Tu para mi eres la estrella
un corazon a todo color
nuestra vida como una dulce mentira -
cuentos tiernos - inventos que inventas tu.
Vuela - con tu fotonovela
vuela - mujer fotonovela.

Tu para mi solo una historia
un medio amor sin solucion
una musica y una cena con velas -
siempre tu - fotonovela solo tu.
Vuela - con tu fotonovela
vuela - mujer fotonovela.

Vuela - con tu fotonovela
vuela - mujer fotonovela.

Tu para mi eres la estrella
un corazon a todo color
nuestra vida como una dulce mentira -
cuentos tiernos - inventos que inventas tu.
Vuela - con tu fotonovela
vuela - mujer fotonovela.

Tu para mi solo una historia
un medio amor sin solucion
una musica y una cena con velas -
siempre tu - fotonovela solo tu.
Vuela - con tu fotonovela
vuela - mujer fotonovela.

Tu para mi eres la estrella
yo para ti no se quien soy.
Vuela - con tu fotonovela
vuela - mujer fotonovela.
Vuela - con tu fotonovela
vuela - mujer fotonovela.

The ignorance of the 90s (Part 12).

Today it's 10 years gone, when one of the most famous artists that my home country Austria ever had (in the 20th century), tragically died after he had a car accident. He left so much good material, which wasn't released 'til he lived, so we are all can be pleased to get a brand new released live performance he did back in 1993. It's one of only two concerts of him, which ever were recorded, and this special one is the only one he did with a band AND a symphonic orchestra!
The bandleader back in those days, THOMAS RABITSCH, and many other people, were working very hard over one year to reconstruct the recordings to bring it to that brilliancy that you almost could think to be live at the gig. I now have the honour to bring you one peace of music from this very best gig he ever did! I added the short reprise to the original to get the final lenght. So please, do me a favour, close your eyes, listen and ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.

A collaboration experiment (Part 6).

You may have noticed meanwhile that I mix very conservative, and so do I with my collaborations. There are so many of them in the world wide web (some are innovative and good, some are technically great, but the most ones are not really worth it to listen to), and so, from time to time, when I hear two songs in the same time, which are compatible IMHO, then I sit down and make something... I do something... like this one... another collaboration. The today's one is from an Australian band, which sadly splitted up some time in the 90s I think, and an Austrian musician, who very sadly "splitted up" himself by a car accident today 10 years ago. At the end, there is a piece of music, easy to listen to and getting relaxed with, hopefully. ENJOY! Floyd Anderson.
